North Shore does not have any 'rules' about our style. Our style is more
about what the people here are comfortable with. You can expect
to see people of all ages wearing anything from jeans and casual
shirts to suits, ties, and dresses. There is no need to feel
nervous about what to wear at our church. Dress however you feel
comfortable as
you enjoy the service.
The music, (or worship as we call it) is also varied. Some mornings
are all traditional hymns, and others are more contemporary and modern.
Sometimes worship is lead by one person on piano, and for others
there is a band with songs that are lively. The band is a
mixture of vocalists, guitars, keyboards, and drums. We encourage
people to sing along,
and even
to bring their own style into the worship times. Again it’s about
being comfortable. Sit when you want to sit. Stand when you want
to stand. And raise your hands when you want to!
The messages on Sunday morning are relevant to life today. You won’t
need to walk away from our church service trying to make sense of what
the pastor said. We take the teachings of the Bible and turn them into
challenges for daily living. Challenges that you’ll understand,
and challenges that will lead you to a deeper understanding and relationship
with God.
Church can be relevant, fun and friendly the way it was supposed to
be - Not judgmental, stuffy, and distant - We are striving to
create a perfect church for people who aren't!
