North Shore Happenings
Great Lakes Harley Owners Group & North Shore Church Picnic: July 17th at Metro Beach. The party runs from 12pm to 7pm. A picnic lunch will be served at 2pm. Bring your own beverage in a non-glass container. The entrance to the park is $5. Bring your family and enjoy some fellowship, food, fun & games.
New Baltimore First Annual Smoke on the Bay Rib Cook-Off: August 7th from 9am to 9pm in New Baltimore, North Shore will be helping out the New Baltimore Lionswith this rib competition. We are in need of a few volunteers to help serve. See Greg Nikkel for more details.
Serving Opportunities
Community Cafe Volunteers: We are still in need of volunteers to work at the cafe from 7:45 am until 2:30 pm. This can be split into 7:45-11am & 11am - 2:30pm shifts. Even if you are only able to help 1/2 day, one day a week, WE NEED YOUR HELP. This can’t work without your help. Please contact Janine at 586-817-2556 for information.
Feeding the Homeless
My Brother’s Keeper: Tuesday, July 6th we will be serving the homeless in downtown Detroit. Meet us at the Community Cafe by 5:30pm.
The Well (Gratiot north of Hall Rd): Thursday, July 15th we are serving those in need within our own community. Come anytime between 3-8pm to help cook and serve.
Connection ~ Life is better together
Celebrate Recovery: The group is open to anyone looking for support and freedom from hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Wee meet Tuesday nights at 7:30pm at the Community Cafe. Contact Deb for more information at 586-747-5054.
