North Shore Happenings

Bay-Rama Parade:  Directly following our service today, Sunday June 27th we will be selling hot dogs, cotton candy and popcor during the Bay-Rama Fish-fly Parade.  We will be located directly in front of the New Baltimore Fire House.

Great Lakes Harley Owners Group & North Shore Church Picnic:  July 17th at Metro Beach.  Party runs from 12pm to 7pm.  A picnic lunch will be served at 2pm.  Bring your own beverage in a non-glass container.  The park entrance is $5.00.  Bring your family and enjoy some fellowship, food, fun & games.

Serving Opportunities 

Community Cafe Volunteers:  Tonight Sunday June 27th at 5pm We could use some help prepping food for the upcoming week at the Cafe.  We also need a trained volunteer to run the coffee bar for Bible Study on Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm to 7:15pm. 

We are still in need of volunteers to work at the cafe from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.  This can be split into 7:30-11am & 11am - 2:30 shifts.  Even if you are only able to help 1/2 day one day a week, WE NEED YOUR HELP.  This can’t work without your help.  Please contact Janine at 817-2556 for information.

** Just a note:   Today there were quite a few people who came to help prep.  This is something that people who want to help but can’t during open hours can do to help.  We don’t want to keep playing catch up with preparing burgers, salad, etc. on Sunday nights, but if you are interested in helping in the evenings during the week I can have something set up for you to do.  Please contact Janine at 817-2556 for information.  Thank you!

Feeding the Homeless

My Brother’s Keeper:  Tuesday, July 6th we will be serving the homeless in downtown Detroit.  Meet us at the Community Cafe by 5:30 pm.

The Well (Gratiot north of Hall Rd):  Thursday, July 15, we are serving those in need within our own community.  Come anytime between 3-8 pm to help cook and serve.

Celebrate Recovery:  The group is open to anyone looking for support and freedom from hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  We meet Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm at the Community Cafe.  Contact Deb for more details @ 586-747-5054.
