North Shore Happenings

Community Cafe Volunteers:  Starting tomorrow (6/21/10) at 8 AM we will begin training.  We will be working on making specialty coffee drinks, food per our recipes, cleaning and organizing.  We will also begin to pass out menus to the immediate vicinity business to let them know we will be opening for business either on Wednesday or Thursday depending on how the training goes on Monday & Tuesday.

Bay-Rama Parade:  Sunday, June 27th directly following our service, we will be selling hotdogs, cotton candy, and popcorn during the Bay-Rama Fish-fly parade.  We will be located directly in front of the New Baltimore Fire House.

Great Lakes Harley Owners Group & North Shore Church Picnic:  July 17th at Mewtro Beach.  The party runs from 12pm to 7pm.  A picnic lunch will be served at 2pm.  Bring your own beverage in a non-glass container.  Park entrance is $5.  Bring your family and enjoy some fellowship, food, fun and games. (Water balloon volley ball anyone?)

Feeding the Homeless

My Brother’s Keeper:  Tuesday, July 6th we will be serving the homeless in downtown Detroit.  Meet us at the Community Cafe by 5:30 pm.

The Well(Gratiot, north of Hall Road):  Thursday, July 15th we are serving those in need within our own community.  Come anytime between 3-8pm to help cook and serve.

Celebrate Recovery:  The group is open to anyone looking for support and freedom from hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  We meet Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm at the Community Cafe.  Contact Deb for more information at 586-747-5054.
