North Shore Happenings

Cert Training:  January 14 - 16 we will be offering a CERT training session at the Community Cafe.  The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.  If you are interested in participating in future disaster relief trips this training is a great opportunity.  The cost is $30.  There are registration sheets located on the table in the hallway.

Men’s Breakfast:  Join us Saturday, January 23rd at 8am for a breakfast and fellowship at the Community Cafe.

Citizens State Bank Dinner:  January 9th, North Shore will be helping out with an employee appreciation dinner.  We only need people to donate desserts for the dinner.  (The dinner is being catered)  If you would like to help provide a dessert, please drop it off at the Community Cafe before 5pm.

Serving Opportunities

Hats, Gloves, Socks:  Winter is here!  Over the next couple of months we will be collecting hats, gloves, and socks for the homeless and those in need in our community.   Please drop them off at the Community Cafe.

Polar Bear Plunge:  Sunday January 31st, directly following our gathering we will be heading downtown New Baltimore and handing out hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy at the Polar Bear Plunge.  Come join us in serving our community.

Feeding the Homeless

My Brother’s Keeper:  Tuesday, January 5th we will be serving the homeless in downtown Detroit.  Meet us at the Community Cafe by 5:30 pm.

The Well:  Thursday, January 21st we are serving those in need within our own community.  Come anytime between 3-8 pm to help cook and serve.

 Connections ~  Life is better together

Women’s Workout Group:  Monday nights at 7:30 pm at the Community Cafe  All women over the age of 17 are welcome to join.  Bring workout DVD;s for a variety of workouts.  Contact Nancy for more details at 586-524-0948.

Celebrate Recovery:  The group is open to anyone looking for support and freedom from hurts, hang-ups and habits.  We meet Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm at the Community Cafe.  Contact Deb for more details at 586-747-5054.

Weekly Bible Study:  Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm at the Community Cafe.
