Food Distribution: Our next distribution with Gleaner’s Food Bank will be Wednesday, May 23rd from 3-5pm at Anchor Bay Middle School South (48650 Sugarbush Rd, Chesterfield Twp) in the back parking lot. Come join us in serving our community.

7th Annual Blessing of the Bikes Weekend!  The Count Down Is On

IMPORTANT: The 7th Annual Blessing of the Bikes Sunday Morning Gathering will be at the GIBRALTAR TRADE CENTER. April 29th, 10:00 a.m. Be there!

Saturday, April 28th: Set up at the Gibraltar Trade Center at 3 p.m.

Sunday, April 29th:

• 8:00 a.m. Finish set up for Blessing of the Bikes
• 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning gathering at the Gibraltar Trade Center
• 10:30 a.m. Be at your volunteer station
• 2:00 p.m. Blessing of the Bikes and Bike Show Awards

Other North Shore Happenings

Dexter Storm Relief Benefit Concert: Friday, April 27th at 7 p.m. at the Most Holy Trinity Activity Center in Fowler, MI. The concert will feature local Christian recording artists Andrea Gleason, Thicker Than Water, and All in Ministries-feat Noelle Garcia. Free to attend, but a collection will be taken up to support “Poured Out”, which has been active in the region’s cleanup and rebuilding efforts.

Motorcycle Swap Meet:  December 17th - 18th at the Gibraltar Trade Center, we will be promoting our 2012 Blessing of the Bikes. 

Noel Night:  Sunday, December 18th at 7pm there will be a community Christmas service at Anchor Bay High School.  If you are interested in helping with the Children’s play, contact Tia Mays (313-912-3082), or if you would like to be in the choir contact Sawn Miller (313-978-4068).      

Pastor Henry Covington Memorial Concert:  Friday, December 23 from 8pm to 12am there will be a service in the memory of Pastor henry Covington at I Am My Brother’s Keeper.  Volunteers are needed: musicians, singers, actors, dancers and poets.  Audition times are Friday, December 16th from 7:0 - 10:30 pm.

Ya-Ya Sisterhood:  Saturday, December 17th at 12 pm at the Community Cafe.  Bring a lunch, a friend, and a white elephant gift (something from your house,, no new gifts).  If you want to participate in the cookie exchange, see Jan Beam by today, Sunday, December 17th or contact her at 586-321-8003.

Christmas Eve Communion:  Saturday, December 24th from 5 - 7pm at the Community Cafe, we will be having a drop in communion.  Bring your firends and family and join us in a quiet time of reflecting on the holiday season.                                                                                                                     

Poured Out Eucre Tournament:  Mark your calendars for Friday, December 30th. (New Years Eve, Eve).  There will be a donation based Eucre Tournament at the North Shore Community Cafe.  A donation of $10 to enter will go to help provide clean drinking water in Haiti.

The Community Cafe is a 100% volunteer run restaurant open to the public.  The cafe is located at 35100 23 Mile Rd in New Baltimore.  Come check us out and enjoy a meal.  Dine in or Carry out.  The phone number is 586-273-7205 and we are open Monday - Friday from 10 am - 3pm.  

Cafe Pantry:  Our pantry is in desperate need of non-perishable food items in order to continue to help serve those in need in our community.  Please place food in the box located in the hallway on Sunday mornings or drop off any food donations to the Cafe during business hours.  (Mon-Fri 10am - 3pm)

Colossians 3:15 - 17

Let peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other.  None of this going off and doing your own thing.  And cultivate thankfulness.  Let the Word of Christ - the Message  have the run of the house.  Give it plenty of room in your lives.  Instruct and direct one another using good common sense.  And sing, sing your hearts out to God!  Let every detail in your lives - words, actions, whatever - be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.

Fall Family Festival:  The New Baltimore Police Association would like to say thank you to all the North Shore Family that helped at the Fall Family Fun Day for N.B.P.O.A.  It was a great day for all.  thanks for all your help!

North Shore Happenings

Fall Family Festival:  Sunday, October 16th from 2-6pm there will be a family event at the FOP Lodge 112 at 33845 24 Mile Rd, in Chesterfield.  Admission is by donation.  Food, entertainment, games, face painting, Tootsee the Clown, and Kuffs the police dog. 

Neighbor to Neighbor:  Saturday, October 22nd, we will be having another N2N food distribution at our Community Cafe at 9am.  Come out and help us serve our home community.

Crash Youth Lock-in:  October 21st and 22nd there is a youth lock-in at the Genesys Athletic Center.  The event will start at 11pm on Friday night and end at 6am Saturday morning.  The cost is $20 per youth.  There will be giant inflatables, ping pong, basketball, and dodge ball tournaments, food, pop video games and swimming.  See Troy for more details or contact him at 586-206-6238 or pastortroyns@yahoo.com.

New Baltimore Make a Difference Day:  Saturday, October 1st from 10am to 2pm there will be a Make a Difference Day taking place at the New Baltimore Recreation Center (50976 Washington St.)  Freed child immunizations, health screenings, food, children’s activities, petting farm, New Baltimore police and fire department and the new Baltimore K9 Dog Kuffs will be there.
