Today was Baptism day! What a day for celebration!  The following people were baptised:

Celebrate Recovery -  The group is open to anyone looking for support and freedom from hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  We will meet Tuesday, September 9th at 7:30p.m. at the FOP Hall (33845 24 Mile Rd., Chesterfield).  For more information, contact Deb Shaw at 586-948-9969.

Serving Opportunities

Movie Night Downtown - Friday, September 19th at 5pm we will be serving popcorn and cotton candy at the Movie Night downtown New Baltimore in the Walter & Mary Burke Park.  This is the last one this season.  We need your help!  Come serve our community!

Couples Retreat - North Shore will be holding a marraige retreat at Vassar Campground on September 26 & 27th.  The cost is $100 per couple due by September 10th.  There is a sign up sheet in the hallway. www.laughyourway.com

Warehouse Space - We officially have warehouse space to store household goods, clothes, food, etc. for distribution to those in need. Contact Chris if you have items.

There will be a list posted on the home page of the items needed for the Survival Bags.  If you are able, purchase these items and either bring them to church or contact Chris.

Children’s Ministries Children’s ministries are offered during service every Sunday. Children through 5th grade are taught relevant bible stories with related activities. For those too young to participate there is a play room.

Feeding the Homeless -

The Well- located at 46000 N. Gratiot in Chesterfield just north of Hall Road.  Thursday September 18th- Come anytime between 3:00 and 8:00 pm to help cook and serve the homeless in our own community.

My Brother’s Keeper - Tuesday, October 7th we will be serving the homless downtown Detroit.  Meet us at the FOP by 5:30 p.m.

Save your VG’s Receipts- In exchange, VG’s will donate supplies for feeding the homeless.

Save your containers - Bring empty butter, cottage cheese, etc. containers to the Well to give away leftovers.
