Polar Bear Plunge:  Today, January 31st directly following our gathering, we will be heading downtown New Baltimore and handing out hot dogs and popcorn at the Polar Bear Plunge.  Come join us in serving our community.

Gibraltar Trade Center:  February 13-14th we will be at the Gibraltar Trade Center promoting our 2010 Blessing of the Bikes.

Chesterfield Relay for Life Bowling Fundraiser: February 27th at 9pm at Total Sport.  3 games of bowling and all you can eat pizza and pop for $20.  All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.  Contact Melissa for more information at 810-523-9894.

Super Bowl Sunday:  February 7th at 5pm the Community Cafe will be open for watching the Super Bowl.  Bring a dish to pass.

Serving Opportunities

Hats, Gloves, Socks:  Winter is here!  Over the next couple of months we will be collecting hats, gloves, and socks for the homeless and those in need in our community.

Community Neighbor to Neighbor:  February 27th we will be having a community wide N2N food giveaway with our local churches.  If you know of someone or you are in need of food there is a sign-up sheet on the table in the hallway.

Feeding the Homeless

My Brother’s Keeper:  Tuesday, February 2nd we will be serving the homeless in downtown Detroit.  Meet us at the Community Cafe by 5:30 pm.

The Well (on Gratiot, north of Hall Rd):  Thursday, February 18th we are serving those in need within our own community.  Come anytime between 3-8 pm to help cook and serve.

Connections ~ Life is better Together

Celebrate Recovery:  The group is open to anyone looking for support and freedom from hurts, hang=ups, and habits.  We meet Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm at the Community.  Contact Deb for more details at 586-747-5054.

Weekly Bible Study:  Wednesday nights at 7 pm  at the Community Cafe.

Praise Team Practice:  The band and vocalists practice at the Community Cafe on Thursdays at 7:30.
